Lima, Ohio

Barbara Jean Lotz, 86, was called into the presence of the Lord at 1:31 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.

Barbara was born May 9, 1937, in Lima, OH, to the late John and Hattie "Ruth" (Phillips) Truesdale. On September 10, 1962, she married Eugene E. Lotz Jr. who preceded her in death on February 14, 2009.

Barbara was a graduate of Lima Central High School. She had previously worked as an Office Manager for the family business, Truesdale's Sales and Service. She had also worked for The Leader Store as a Window Designer. Barbara was an avid singer, talented artist and loved to paint. Her greatest joy was her family. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Anthony "Tony" (Sheila) Lotz of Lima, Dominic Lotz of Boise, ID, and Tammy C. (Tony) Blake of Harrod; four grandchildren, Nathan Lotz, Amanda (Taylor) Zwiebel, Megan Delgado, and Beau Blake; granddaughter-in-law, Ashley Marie; three great-grandchildren; Archer, and Leon Blake, and Isla Delgado; three brothers, John (Karen) Truesdale, Al (Belinda) Truesdale, and Perry (Carolyn) Truesdale; sister-in-law, Rita Truesdale; and brother-in-law, Jack (Mary) Lotz.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Truesdale, and Bill Truesdale; and a grandson, Christopher M. Lotz.

Services celebrating Barbara's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL Burial will be later in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, prior to the service at the funeral home.
