Obituaries

Bennie Frank Sloan III, 48 of Colorado Springs, formerly of Lima, passed away October 30, 2023.

Bennie was born November 14, 1974 in Lima to Bennie Jr. and Cathy (Taylor) Sloan, who survive him in Wapakoneta.

Bennie was a 1993 graduate of Perry High School and he worked as the kitchen manager at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Colorado Springs. He was a kind, funny and outgoing guy that everyone loved to be around. Bennie enjoyed all things musical and working with electronics. He loved the outdoors, especially hiking and camping.

In addition to his parents, Bennie is survived by his sister, Stacie (Troy) Green; niece, Brooke (Tony) Elsass; nephew, Troy (Andrea) Green and great nieces and nephews, Walker, Waylon, Crew, Colton and Caroline.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joy & Herb Garmatter and Carl and Doris Taylor.

Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES - EASTSIDE CHAPEL.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
