Obituary For Bernard L. Fisher, Sr.

Lima, Ohio
Bernard "Larry" Lawrence Fisher. Sr, 80, passed away on November 6, 2023 in Lima, Ohio after a long battle with complications of Dementia.
Born on August 9, 1943, Bernard was the son of David and Doris Fisher. He grew up in Spencerville and attended Allen East. Bernard was a dedicated welder at Rockwell for many years and also worked at Stomdale and Honda. He was known for his hard work and dedication to his job.
Bernard had a love for the outdoors and could often be found going for rides, arrowhead hunting and regular hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed listening to country music and singing old songs. He was a fan of western movies and the Cleveland Browns. Snowmobiling was another one of his favorite pastimes.
Bernard was a devoted family man and cherished spending time with his loved ones. He was a loving father to his 6 sons, and 2 daughters. Also surviving are 5 sons, Steve (April) Fisher of Alger, Larry "Tubby" Fisher, Jr. of Alger, James Fisher (Richard) of Ridgeway, Timothy (Margaret) Fisher of Alger, and Josh (Elizabeth) Fisher of Lima; 2 daughters, Maude (Brian Deceased) Gay and Melissa Fisher both of Lima; 2 sisters, Mary Ellen Snyder and Richarda Jean Fogle; mother of his children, Nancy Sprague, and many nieces, nephews, grand children and great grandchildren. Bernard is preceded in death by his son, John Fisher, His 2 sisters, Roseanne Butler and Evelyn Berryman, His brother, David (Bud) Fisher, His mother, Doris Fisher, and Father, David Fisher
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help the family with the funeral expenses.
Bernard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

    Dear Daddy, I will forever treasure our memories,our moments , our laughs, our car rides, all the wonderful stories you told me.The hard work you put in for us kids. You have taught me so much about life. I will love you forever. I can't write one favorite memory because every memory I have with you is my favorite.     Lost a hard working man when we lost Larry. My thoughts and prayers to his children and family. Larry will be missed. Remember him for the good times and speak fondly of his ability to persevere in the hard times. Craig A. Decker
