Blaine P. Schmitt, age 35, passed away on June 22, 2024, in Lima, OH. Blaine was born April 29, 1989, in Orlando, FL, to Kenneth C. and Rachel M. (Reynolds) Schmitt Jr. His father survives in Elida and his mother preceded him in death.
In addition to his father, Blaine is survived by his paternal grandmother, Patricia J. (Schmitt) King, of Lima, OH, his fiancé, Brittany Oakley of Lakeview, OH, his children: Miles Schmitt of Lafayette, OH, Owen Schmitt of Lima, OH, Landen Schmitt of Lakeview, OH and Carsen Schmitt of Lakeview, OH, siblings: Eric (Abby) Schmitt of Minster, OH and Tyler (Macey) Schmitt of Waynesfield, OH. He was preceded in death by his mother, his paternal grandfather, Kenneth C. Schmitt Sr. and maternal grandparents, Jim and Clarice Reynolds.
Blaine was a 2008 graduate of the Allen East High School. He loved playing his guitars and drums. Most of all he enjoyed hanging out with his children and his family.
There will be a funeral service held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 3:00 pm at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Pastor Randy Davis. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery following the service.
Friends may visit on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00 pm at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the benefit of his children. Condolences may be expressed to the family at

    Me and the boy's are going to miss you so much! You was my other half my best friend, my heart hurts not hearing you tell me and the boys you love us and giving us hugs and kisses! You was such a great partner, father, son and brother! And was kind to anyone! You never gave up on anything and I'm and I always will be so proud of the man you was!     Blaine, you were such a special you man when you were growing up. Life was not kind to you taking you mom at such a young age. You boys were her whole world and she loved you so much. The only good thing about this is you are back with her now. I will always remember you, Blake and Cody playing soccer and having so much fun together. I would love one more hug from you.
