Obituary For Clara A. Jorrey

Lima, OH
Clara A. Jorrey, age 81, of Lima passed away the evening of March 17, 2024, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center with her family close by her side. Clara was born to George and Cecilia (Kolodziej) Molson on September 22, 1942 in Hamtramck, MI. She had 3 brothers and 3 sisters. In 1966, she married Lee Jorrey who preceded her in death.
Clara is survived by her daughters: Yvonne Jorrey-Green, Yvette (Curtis) Cobb and Leann Jorrey; grandchildren: Taylor Green, Tyler Green, Tristan Green, Kelly Cobb, Marcie Extine and Coby Extine; "bonus" family members: Sheryl Lhamon, Todd Extine, Logan George and Bryson Freytag.
Clara retired from St. Rita's Medical Center. She worked hard her entire life, never cared about material possessions and always put the needs and wants of her family before her own. She was the foundation of her family.
She was known to never sugar-coat her opinions and to always enjoy a hot cup of black coffee. She loved autumn for its chilly breezes and vibrant colors and appreciated the serenity of a winter landscape with freshly fallen snow. Clara had a life long love for animals, especially cats and could never turn away a cold, hungry or pregnant stray.
She loved visiting with her grandkids, looking at their photos and listening to their stories. However, when she was ready to be done visiting she wasn't afraid to let them know by jokingly saying "ok, you can go now" to make them laugh.
The family would like to acknowledge the hospice team and 5K inpatient hospice nurses for the compassionate care she received while at Mercy Health. A private celebration of life gathering will be planned for a later date.
The CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL is honored to be assisting the family with funeral arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at
