Obituaries

Constance "Connie" J. Cook, 75, of Elida, passed away 7:48 pm October 26, 2023 at her residence.

She was born September 2, 1948, in Lima to Harry and Dorothy (Stump) Michael who preceded her in death. On April 7, 1973, she married E. Michael Cook who survives.

Also surviving are their children: Brett Alan (Tarra) Cook of Cody, WY, and Marcie Lynn (Joe) Kubik of Elizabeth, CO; grandchildren, Lukas and Ava Kubik, and Morgan Cook; and her sister, Shirley Clark of Jonesborough, TN.

Connie was a graduate of Lima Senior High School and retired from West Ohio Orthopedics. She had worked on her class reunion committee for over 35 years. She enjoyed a great match of pickle ball at the Y.M.C.A. She was a gourd artist, winning many competitions with her gourd entries. She loved spending time in Florida and fishing.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at the Shawnee Chapel with Rev. Glory Geib officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthews Lutheran Church Cemetery.
