Obituary For Eleanor Louise Brown

On Thursday, August 31, 2023, our precious angel got her wings as Eleanor Louise Brown was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father.
Eleanor Louise Brown was born November 1, 1931, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, to Harry and Lomie Graham. Growing up Eleanor worked with her siblings at the Kenton Country Club where her father was head greenskeeper. She became quite an accomplished golfer and received her Varsity Letter in the sport. She was a 1950 graduate from Kenton High School, where she played drums in the marching band.
She married her high school sweetheart, Ronald H. Brown, on September 16, 1950. They celebrated 72 years of marriage together. She worked for 18 ½ years in the Bath High School cafeteria. Eleanor was a member of Cable Road Alliance church for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harry Graham Jr. and James “Jim” Graham; sister, Ruth Snider; beloved sons, Michael, who passed shortly after birth, and his twin brother, James A. Brown.
Survived by her loving husband, Ronald H. Brown; daughter, Vickie Beshalske (Brad Stotz) of Oregon, Ohio; son, Steve Brown (Vicky) of Bluffton, Ohio; daughter, Deedie Rack (Petey) of Little River, SC; daughter-in-law, Jill Brown of Harrod, Ohio; sister, Joan Erdley (Forrest) of Elizabethtown, PA; sister-in-law, Connie Graham of Lima, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
Eleanor’s family extends their deepest gratitude to the wonderful nurses and aides with Mercy Hospice and the caring staff at Otterbein Cridersville.
Reverend Richard Jueckstock officiating. Services to be held at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Shawnee Chapel - 1170 Shawnee Rd, Lima, OH 45805. Visitation on Tuesday, September 5 from 4 to 8pm. Funeral service Wednesday, September 6 at 11am with visitation starting at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eleanor’s memory to Cable Road Alliance Church or The Lima Rescue Mission.
