Herman Lee Bridges, 64, was called home on, August 15, 2023, at 6:23 am, at his daughter's residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Herman was born August 3, 1959, in Jackson, MS, to Marion and Clara (Magnum) Bridges who both preceded him in death.
Herman attended Florence High School in Florence, MS. He worked in the ground's maintenance department for the Ohio Department of Transportation for over 15 years, where he later retired. Herman loved fishing and cooking for literally everyone. He loved his family dearly and cherished spending time with them.
Herman is survived by his 3 daughters, Soniqua "Sonny" Bridges of Lima, OH, Tashee "Shay" Bridges of Lima, OH, Kristen (Daryl) Cooper of Miamisburg, OH, 11 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, siblings, John Earl Bridges of Lima, OH, Lille Ruth Thomas of Lima, OH, Louise Hurley of Lima, OH, Lillie Mae (Lance) Haithcock of Lima, OH, Jake Bridges of MS, Brenda Bridges of Lima, OH, Deborah Bridges of MS, Frances (Willie) Boyd of MS, and special friend, Hettie Ruth Hines and her children.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Marion Bridges, Jr., John Wayne Bridges, Melvin Bridges, Bob Bridges, Celestine Thames and Bernice Bullock.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 1:00pm at CHILES - LAMAN FUNERAL HOMES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL.
