Obituary For Jackie Lynn Rigel-Burkholder

Jackie Lynn Rigel-Burkholder, 63 of Lima, passed away June 30, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

Jackie was born April 25, 1961 in Lima to Jimmy "Jim" and Patty "Pat" S. (Perry ) Rigel; her father preceded her in death and her mother survives her in Lima.

Jackie was a 1979 graduate of Perry High School and she went on to further her career at Rhodes State College with an Associate's Degree in nursing. She worked in home health care for many years. Jackie was a member of Crosspoint Church in Cape Coral, Florida where she was incredibly active and loved attending Bible study and other church groups. She was a former member of Lima First Assembly of God where she enjoyed worship, small groups and other church events. Jackie loved Jesus and lived her life sharing her faith with others. Her greatest desire was that her family and friends knew Him also. She volunteered at the Neighborhood Relief Ministries in the jewelry department. She was a Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and she loved attending her family and friends' sporting events. Jackie was loved by many people in Lima, Michigan and Florida. Most of all, Jackie loved spending time with her family celebrating life events and holidays, especially with her grandchildren at the beach. She had a beautiful smile and fun sense of humor, Jackie loved her family and friends dearly.

Jackie is survived by her son, Taylor K. (Miranda L.) Burkholder; grandsons, Kaden Huffman and Theodore "Teddy" Burkholder; sisters, Alisa M. (Johnny) Banks and Chris A. (Chad) Smith; nieces and nephews, Erica (Marquise) Bingmon, Dustin Hawkins, Jenna (Matt) Clark and Xavier Gilkey to name a few and her great-niece and great-nephews, Alazae Thomas (JaDon Mundy), Dagan Hawkins, Dashiell Hawkins and Julian Clark among many others, including her special aunt, Grace Woolley.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her younger brother, Danny L. Rigel.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Lima First Church with Pastor Darrell Bucher to officiate the service.

Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.

    Jackie was filled with so much laughter and so full of life. She loved her family and friends. Her Grandkids were her prize possession. She loved them so much. I thank God for the lunches and jokes, and your love for the Lord taught me how to be a better person. I will always love you and miss you.
