Lima, OH
Jean E. Cinardo, age 95, passed away August 16, 2023, at 8:35 pm, at the Lima Convalescent Home. Jean was born January 5, 1928, in Lima, OH, to George and Hazel (Rish) Schott who preceded her in death. On June 11, 1949, she married the love of her life, Charles Cinardo who preceded her in death on June 6, 2014.
Jean is survived by a sister in-law, Paula (Kenny) Ey of NY and numerous cousins mainly in the Lima area and Florida. She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Cinardo and a sister, Evelyn Vanik.
Jean was a 1945 graduate of Lima Central High School and a 1949 graduate of The Ohio State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in education. She had worked her entire career with Shaker Heights Schools from which she retired after 35 years. Jean was a docent at the Allen County Museum, a member of Friends of the Symphony and a member of the Unitarian Fellowship of Lima.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 12 noon at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL where friends may also be able to visit from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Officiating the service will be Pastor Matthew Evans. Burial of cremated remains will be held privately at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery.
