Obituaries

Jenny (MacRitchie) Rebecca Lopez, age 47 of Lima, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 7:26 a.m. in the Emergency Room of Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center.

Jenny was born March 5, 1976 in Toledo St. Vincent's Hospital to John and Jeanne (Corrello) MacRitchie. Her father and wife, John & Josephine MacRitchie survive in Troy, OH, and her mother and husband, Jeanne & Ollen Lawrence Burnette survive in Lillian, AL.

Also surviving are her children: Joey (Payton Solomon) Lopez of Robertsdale, AL, Marcus MacRitchie of Alpharetta, GA, and Catherine (Hunter Bell) Lopez of Lima; her stepdaughter, Alana Rankin of Lima; her granddaughters, Josie, and Lillian is on the way in February; her brother, John MacRitchie of Mobile, AL, her maternal grandmother, Helen (Carl dec'd) Corrello of Lima and best friend, Elizabeth Blair of Lima.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Innis and Catherine MacRitchie, and infant daughter, Na'Kiya MacRitchie.

Jenny was a 1994 graduate of Shawnee High School/Apollo Career Center and obtained her degree as an STNA. She was currently providing private duty care for people in the area. She enjoyed cooking, shopping was her hobby and she loved spoiling her granddaughter, Josie. She was a fun-loving person.

Her family will be having a Celebration of Life, this Sunday, September 3, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until sundown at Faurot Park Shelter #1 on Cole Street, near the cannon. A private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
