Obituary For Kenneth L. Wortman

Kenneth L. Wortman, age 90, passed away on March 25, 2024, at the Lima Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on September 15, 1933, in Connellsville, PA to Walter Wortman and Pauline O. Hutchison who both preceded him in death. On May 17, 1996, he married Karen (Williams) Wortman who survives in Lima, OH.
Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for 33 years as a semi truck driver with Schwerman's Trucking and then Roeder Cartage for an additional 10 years. Most recently, he retired from North Dixie Truck and Trailer after 15 years of service. Kenneth had also worked as the head of maintenance for the Bluffton Airport. He was a member and elder of the Lima First Missionary Church. Kenneth was a proud member of "Prayer Flight" in which its members would fly over each state of the United States on the National Day of Prayer and pray for our country. He also belonged to the Dune Buggy Club. He liked watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and the Columbus Blue Jackets. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
There were private graveside services held in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. The Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel were honored to assist the family with funeral arrangements. Memorials contributions can be made to Lima First Missionary Church.
