Obituary For Linda Sue Boyer

Linda Sue Boyer, age 78 of Lima, passed away February 1, 2024, at 8:10 pm, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center.

She was born March 12, 1945, in Canton, OH, to Joseph Stanley and Gertrude Irene (Matthews) George who preceded her in death. On May 4, 1968, she married Sammy "Sam" Boyer who survives.

Also surviving is their son: James Andrew Boyer; two grandsons: Andrew James Boyer and Jaxon Cooper Boyer; and the following siblings: David (Sylvia) George of Alliance, OH, and Sara (Richard) Madson of Suffolk, VA; brothers-in-law: Dee Eugene Boyer of Findlay and Joe (Rhoda) Stanley Boyer of Chelsea, MI and too many nieces and nephews to mention.

She is preceded in death by the following siblings: Bruce (Sue) George, Norma (Richard) Foell, James George and Dorothy Misquitta.

Linda was a 1963 graduate of Carrollton High School and retired as a secretary at various business and as a cashier at Lowe's. Linda and Sam opened their home on Christmas Tours and Home and Garden Tours for the Lima Community for many years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cross stitching,
gardening when she was younger and Apple Cider Days. Thanksgiving when the family was all present was her favorite holiday. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her grandsons.

Her visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Shawnee Alliance Church (East) from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. where the service will begin at 3:00 p.m., with her nephew, Rev. Phil Foell officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Allen County Historical Society.
