Obituary For Lucille A. Hardeman Bowsher

Lucille A. Hardeman Bowsher, 91, of Harrod, passed away at 3:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on July 27, 1932 in Allen County, to Lloyd and Mary (Crist) Craig, who both preceded her in death. She had previously been married to Willard Hardeman, who preceded her in death on February 14, 1974. On March 27, 1971, she married Bill G. Bowsher, who survives in Harrod.

Lucille was a member of LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church. She worked at Excello for over 35 years and retired as an Inspector in 1990. In her younger years she sang in the church choir, liked to ballroom dance, water ski and ride the spinner ride at amusement parks with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, sewing, hand embroidery and traveling with her family. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

Surviving in addition to her husband Bill G. Bowsher are her children Janice (Jeff) Burch of Harrod, Leisa Haunhorst of Lima and Alan (Sue) Hardeman; her grandchildren Jeremy Hardeman, Chris Burch, Chad Burch, Jacob Hardeman, Amber Hardeman; her great-grandchildren Logan, Jenna, Gabe and Ryan. She is also survived by her brother Harold (Gladys) Craig of Fostoria, OH.

She was preceded in death by her son Steve Hardeman; her brothers Dwain and Kenneth Craig.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church, 8230 Anspach Road, Harrod, where services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, July 12, 2024.

Rev. Russ Stringfield will officiate the service.

Entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum will immediately follow the services at church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
