Michael "Mike" B. Wilson, age 65, passed away on April 19, 2024, at 2:23 am, at his winter residence in Sarasota, FL. Mike was born on November 25, 1958, in Norwalk, OH, to the late Joseph B. Wilson and Dixie K. (Brinker) Pellerito and her husband Tony who lives in Gowen, Michigan. On December 24, 2002, he married Katherine L. ( Bowsher) Wilson who survives in Elida.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mike is survived by his children: Justin (Emily Hartman) Wilson of Gomer, OH, Chris (Kristin) Wilson of Lima, OH and Shannon Taylor of Lima, OH, step-children: Matthew (Courtney) Horner of Lima, OH and Jeffery (Jill) Horner of Pandora, OH, 6 grandchildren: Anika, Laney, Arabella, Bennett, Jaxen and Kai, 3 step-grandchildren: Branden, Alexx, Vivian and Baby Horner, due in August, siblings: Steve (Kari) Wilson of Elida, OH, Julie (Sonny) North of Gowen, MI and Sean (Nicole) Kidd of Kalamazoo, MI, half-siblings: Amber (David) Schumacher of Columbus Grove, OH and Laura Beth Robey of Bermuda Run, NC, his mother in-law and father in-law Edith and Calvin Reese of Lima, a brother in-law, Tom (Jody) Bowsher, a sister in-law, Jennifer Bowsher and a brother in-law, Mark Bowsher. He was preceded in death by: a brother in-law, Gene Bowsher and his father in-law and mother in-law Tom and Elaine Bowsher.
Mike was a 1977 graduate of Elida High School. He worked for AEP for 38 years starting as a meter-reader and ended as a line crew supervisor retiring in 2018. Through the years, Mike helped many people with electrical problems on the side. He would never tell people No and he would not let an electrical issue beat him, he'd figure it out. Mike was a member of Eagles #370. He was an avid golfer and loved golfing in Florida in the winter. Mike enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with his wife. Wednesday dinners with the Tschuor's were very special to him. His true love was his 2 Harley Davidson Motorcycles and he liked his wife... but he really did love Kathy. He would not trailer his bike, he rode it everywhere. Mike was fortunate enough to travel all over the country on his bike, attending Sturgis, SD eight times. Mike enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and spending a massive amount of time on genealogy.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be his brother Pastor Sean Kidd.
Friends may visit on Thursday from 4-8 pm at the SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apollo Electrical Systems Technology Program @ 3325 Shawnee Rd., Lima, OH 45806 to benefit students entering the electrical field.
In Mike's honor and attending his services, please wear anything Harley Davidson or Ohio State and if you own a Harley, ride it there. Other bikes are welcomed as well. Condolences may be expressed to the family at

    His eyes are as kind as his heart. I've always been proud he is my brother. Had I known God was going to call you home that morning, I wouldn't have waited to call you back the following day. We thought we had many tomorrows left. I take comfort in knowing you always knew you were loved beyond words and now missed beyond measure.
