Michelle Ann Thomas, 61 of Lima, went to her Heavenly home on August 17, 2023, at Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center

Michelle was born August 19, 1961 in Lima, to John Nelson and Annie Ruth (Brookes) Thomas, who preceded her in death.

Michelle is a graduate of Lima Senior High School and retired from Alpha. She enjoyed playing softball, basketball and she loved playing cards. Michelle's dogs held a special place in her heart, especially Polo. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids. Michelle will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Michelle is survived by her grandchildren, Amaya Brown and Jakiya Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Ramazi Brown and Mazaria Brown; special step-son, Tierra Thomas; siblings, Shirley Upshaw, Clarence Thomas, Anthony Thomas, Vickie Thomas and Steve (Amy) Thomas; step-brother, Quincy Peoples; sister-in-law, Janice Thomas; brother-in-law, Raymond "Crip" Grant and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sherita Daelene Thomas; brother, John N. Thomas, Jr.; sisters, Brenda Thomas, Pamela K. Grant and Denise Thomas and her brother-in-law, Lucious Upshaw, Jr.

Homegoing Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES - EASTSIDE CHAPEL with Rev. Paul Johnson to officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
