Obituary For Miriam "Kay" Klinefelter

Miriam "Kay" Klinefelter, 83 of Lima, passed away July 9, 2024, at Lima Memorial Health System, with her loving family by her side.

Kay was born September 25, 1940, in Lima to Maurice and Alice (Stith) Pfeifer, who preceded her in death. On September 25, 1965, she married the love of her life, Walter "Jim" Klinefelter, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2021.

Kay was a 1958 graduate of Lima Senior High School and she worked in the cafeteria and concession stands for Shawnee Schools. She went on to work as a File Clerk at Leahy Family Care and she volunteered at the Lima Locos concession stands. Kay was a member of the Lima Eagles Aerie 370 and she loved going to the jamborees, playing bingo and gambling. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. They held a special place in her heart.

Miriam is survived by her daughters, June (Kyle) Bowers and Carla (James) Cunningham; grandchildren, Jayme (Greg) Jones, Brooke Bowers, Stephenie Bowers, Grant McLeod and Kayla (Aaron Batts) McLeod; great-granddaughters, Samantha Jones and Madilyn Jones; brother, Sonny (Marilyn) Pfeifer; sisters, Sue Pace and Sally (Skip) Dailey; bonus daughter, Cindy Furr; bonus great-grandchildren, Abram, Zayden, Easton and Layla Caudill and her dog, Chico.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Marla Klinefelter; son, John Klinefelter and her brother-in-law, Norris Pace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
