Randolph "Randy" Earl Johnson, 74 of Lima, passed away September 9, 2023, at his home.

Randy was born June 5, 1949 in Lima to Charles Fredrick "Fred" Johnson and Rosella (Burden) Johnson-Latimer, who preceded him in death. On January 17, 2009, he married Brenda (Crocket) Denson-Johnson who survives him in Lima.

Randy was a self-employed contractor and he previously worked as a laborer at Rockwell and a supervisor at Plastipak Packaging. He was a member of New Life Christian Ministries and he was a wonderful cook. Randy enjoyed spending time in his garden, watching westerns and he was a very talented artist. He loved working with his hands and building and fixing things for the ones he loved. Most of all, Randy loved spending time with his family and he will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Rosella Mae (Maurice) Thompson, Nichole (John) Bean, Christina (Joshua) Ezepue, Karla Denson, Bobby Denson and Donnell (Ashley) Denson; 13 grandchildren; special grandson, Joquavies Denson; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Bob) Proby; brothers, Jack Leon (Evelyn) Johnson, Sr. and Raymond Spencer Johnson; aunt, Mary Elizabeth (Willie) Purnell; mother-in-law, Alice Ball; sisters-in-law, Brenda Johnson and Debbie Crocket; brothers-in-law, James Dunlap and Edward Crocket and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Randy is preceded in death by his brothers, Rev. Carl David Johnson and Charles Herbert "Herbie" Johnson.

Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, September 18, 2023 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES - EASTSIDE CHAPEL with Rev. Damian Tibbs to officiate the service.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 2:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
